Viva Air Peru will increase its routes and flights
The General Civil Aeronautics Board (DGAC) granted the modification of Viva Air Peru’s Commercial Aviation Operations Permission through the Executive Resolution Nº 892-2018-MTC/12: Regular National Air Transport of passengers, cargo, and mail, allowing the increase of both routes and flight frequency.
Thus, the low-cost airline now has permission to operate 14 weekly flights on each route from Lima to Talara, Jaén, Pisco, Jauja, Ayacucho, Juliaca, Pucallpa, Puerto Maldonado, Cajamarca, Piura, Cusco, Iquitos, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Tarapoto, Arequipa, and Tacna.
The company also got permission to operate 14 weekly flights on each one of the following inter-regional routes: Lima-Pisco-Cusco-Pisco-Lima, Lima-Arequipa-Juliaca-Arequipa-Lima, Lima-Ayacucho-Cusco-Ayacucho-Lima, Lima-Cusco-Arequipa-Cusco-Lima, Lima-Tarapoto-Iquitos-Tarapoto-Lima, and Lima-Cusco-Puerto Maldonado-Cusco-Lima.
The airline is free to omit intermediary stops on any of these routes. Viva Air currently operates flights from Lima to Cusco, Iquitos, Tarapoto, Chiclayo, Piura, Talara, and Arequipa. It will be operating flights between Lima and Jaen starting December 13th.
