Tourists will get to the Archaeological Park of Choquequirao in one day  

The time it takes to get to the Archaeological Park of Choquequirao will be reduced in one day, because on December 20th, a new road was inaugurated in the district of Mollepata, province of Anta; it shortens the distance by car and foot .


It is a road of 32 kilometers long that will simplify access for many visitors and it will benefit communities that transport their agricultural products.


It takes four hours by car, and it goes across Cuzco – Mollepata – Huamanpata or Mallao – Bella Vista – Ccotomarca – San Francisco; then , people walk five or six hours to get to Maranpata’ s hamlet; and from there to the Inca citadel of Choquequirao, it takes one hour or one hour and a half by foot .
