Peru wins Excellence award during the 2018 Fitur exhibition in Spain


On January 17, the 38th edition of the 2018 International Tourism Fair (FITUR) was inaugurated, and the Peruvian delegation received the Excellence Award thanks to the campaign called “Generation with a Cause” which was carried out by T-Brand, the content platform from The New York Times.

This campaign reached nearly 130 million people in the United States and other parts of the world. It emphases our cuisine, and promotes its consolidation and international development.


PromPerú had a stand, which concept sought to draw the attention by showing the incomparable rich experiences that our country offers. In addition, there was a bar named “Peru Mucho Gusto”, where our cuisine and Pisco cocktails really stood out.

It is worth mentioning that this fair was the first great event in the tourism industry to break business records: 9700 companies participated and 6800 bilateral meetings were scheduled.

We expect that the 20 Peruvian companies that attended Fitur 2018 consolidate business meetings with the main tour operators and airlines in the market, in order to achieve a very profitable business potential.
