Peru will receive 4 new airlines in 2017
Peru is one of the countries that are very popular around world right now; this is why in 2017 four new airlines are starting operations here, including two European airlines. In addition, two Asian airlines are expected to arrive in order to meet the growing demand for commercial flights to that continent, given the strengthened relationship with China.
In the first half of the year, as reported by the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI), the number of Peruvians traveling abroad increased from month to month between 10% and 6%, but in the second half of the year the statistics improved, increasing between 12% and 13% which will allow us to close the year with an average of a 10% increase.
As announced earlier this year, three foreign airlines will start operating in Peru: British Airways, Plus Ultra and Interjet. The first two have flights to Europe and the third one has flights to Mexico. There will be other four airlines in 2017.
