New Experience! Lima and Cusco: New must-do’s

In Vipac we have prepared an 8 day 7 night program itinerary, one of those we call Vipac Experiences, because you are able to get in shared services and from one person. This way we can put pieces together in a fluid operation that provides a very economic and easy traveling in Peru. We have identified new ways of doing the old and latest must-do’s activities and destinations. A mix of Lima and Cusco that includes a classic city tour in Lima, a totally new way of seeing Lima from the Pacific Ocean and combined with an enriching gastronomic experience. While in Cusco, we’re starting in the Sacred Valley to acclimatize at a lower altitude and have seasoned with a new way of touring through it with a tour we call Sacred Valley Premium. Also we will be attracted by the main magnet of all times: Machu Picchu to continue to a very complete way of visiting Cusco city and finalize the program with the multi-coloured cherry: Vinicunca Rainbow Mountain.


DAY 1: LIMA | INC: -

Arrival in the city of Lima, assistance and transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, we will walk through the main streets, squares and avenues of the city. We will start with the Parque del Amor in Miraflores, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean. Then, we will have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, ceremonial center of the Lima culture. We will continue to the Plaza de Armas, where we will find the Government Palace and the Municipal Palace. We will visit the Cathedral and walk to the Convent of Santo Domingo, whose corridors were travelled by San Martín de Porras and Santa Rosa de Lima in the seventeenth century and where their remains now lie. DAY 2: LIMA | INC: B / Gastronomic Experience / D

In the morning and after breakfast we will pick you up from your hotel to venture to the sea. The city of Lima has a very attractive and unique coastal topography in the world, with high cliffs with green areas, islands and a modern urban "skyline". This view can only be seen from the sea. Explore the microcosm of Lima’s fishermen. Embark on the food boat! Get introduced to the art of fishing with our local seaman. Hands on the ceviche with our local chef for a cooking class! Relax with a Pisco Sour and enjoy a live cooking tasting with the exceptional coastline view.

Transfer to the hotel and free afternoon.

By the end of the afternoon, transfer to a spectacular dinner show with Pride, passion and Magic of the Peruvian Paso horse. Enjoy a journey full of flavours, colours, music, tradition and living culture. The beauty of our Peruvian dances and the gallantry of our Peruvian Paso Horse are in a wonderful place to create a unique show that fills the nights of Lima with pride, passion and magic.

Transfer to the airport to fly to Cusco. Upon arrival we will board our vehicle to go directly to the Sacred Valley to descend a few meters above sea level and facilitate acclimatization. The Sacred Valley of the Incas receives us today. We will visit Awanacancha, a tourist complex where we will meet and be able to feed Andean camelids such as llamas and alpacas, and residents will show us their techniques of weaving and dyeing traditional textiles. We will continue to the town of Pisac with a walking tour through the colonial town. Time to shop at the craft market. Then we will continue to your hotel in the Valley. Free afternoon for acclimatization.



We will visit the most outstanding sites of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will leave for the town of Chinchero, the most typical and picturesque of the Sacred Valley. This town is also famous for its women weavers, we will make a brief stop in a textile center to appreciate its beautiful fabrics and where they will teach us the ancient Inca techniques for dyeing and spinning with Alpaca wool. In the town of Chinchero we will visit its Inca archaeological complex and its beautiful colonial church enjoying the impressive natural images that surround the town. Continue to Moray, beautiful and curious Inca archaeological complex composed of colossal concentric terraces simulating a large amphitheater. In Inca times it served as an agricultural laboratory where diverse microclimates were recreated. Lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. We will finish our tour visiting the fabulous archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo important for the Incas as a military, religious and agricultural center. We will visit the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Ñusta baths, the Temple of the Sun among other places of interest. The postcards from the heights of Ollantaytambo will close this magical day in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

Finishing, we will go to the train station in the same Ollantaytambo town, from where we will depart by train to know one of the 7 Wonders of the World. We will arrive at the Aguas Calientes station, where our staff will assist us to move to our hotel and rest for the great adventure that awaits us the next day.



Our staff will assist us to board the transport that will ascend an intricate road giving us a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that shapes the famous canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome us with its incredible terraces, stairways, ceremonial precincts and urban areas. The energy emanating from all over the place. At the coordinated time, we will have lunch and return by train to the city of Cusco.



We will get away from the crowds to visit Sacsayhuamán, an impressive ceremonial fortress full of colossal constructions surrounded by beautiful landscapes in total communion with the environment. Then, we continue to the Inca shrine of Qenqo, ancient Puma temple where you can see an altar for sacrifices on the inside of a huge rock. Finally, we reach the watchtower of Puca Pucará and Tambomachay, a monument of remarkable architectural excellence, considered one of the pillars of the Andean cosmovision. After the tour we will continue to have lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, we will make an exclusive tour of the city on foot that begins in the Koricancha Temple that receives us with all its magnificence; "Recinto de Oro" is its name in Quechua and its lavishness is still felt in those walls that were once completely covered with gold. Continue to the Plaza de Armas to visit the Cathedral that houses colonial works of incredible value. Finally, we will walk to San Blas, the artisans' neighbourhood, walk down Hatun Rumiyoc Street, where we will find the Inca Roca Palace, now the Archbishop's Palace. We will have time to admire the world-famous Stone of the Twelve Angles.

Transfer to your hotel and accommodation in Cusco.



Very early in the morning we will start our trip along the South Valley to Quechuyno, starting point of our adventure to Cerro Colorado or Mountain of seven colors, located about 100 km southeast of the city of Cusco. After enjoying a traditional breakfast in the area, we will start our walk until we reach the control place of access to this mystical place. Continuing the walk, we will observe how the colours around us will change by the weather, we will reach an approximate height of 5000 meters above the mysterious mountain. Its geological formations will reveal all its splendour in contrast to the blue sky, forming a formidable barrier between the desert of the coast and the Amazon rainforest dominated by the beautiful snowy Ausangate.



At the coordinated time, transfer to the airport to board our connecting flight for international departure from Lima.
