Cusco was chosen one of the most beautiful colonial cities
Cusco is considered one of the most beautiful cities of Peru and the world; its characteristics, its Inca and colonial features make this place a must-see for anyone who wants to discover Latin America.
Thus, the Spanish newspaper “La Vanguardia” published, in its last edition, a list of the most beautiful colonial cities in the world, and the ranking included the city of Cusco; as well as cities in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. All these destinations have one thing in common: their impressive and well-preserved buildings that invite us to walk around the streets to learn about their history.
This is one of the many awards that the city of Cusco receives; it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1983 by Unesco and the Archaeological Capital of the Americas at the 25th International Congress of Americanists held in La Plata, Argentina in 1933.
