Cajamarca is preparing celebrations for its traditional carnival

Cajamarca Carnival is around the corner, and people are working on the last details of their carnival tradition, one of the most important festivities in Peru, which gathers thousands of visitors, and this year will be held from February 10 to14.

The Head of Urban and Territorial Development in the provincial municipality of Cajamarca and member of the carnival committee, Renato Fernandez, said that northern towns, like Lambayeque, are great tourism generators to Cajamarca; for this reason, the festivity is mostly promoted in this part of the country, so that more tourists enjoy the different activities during the 2018 Cajamarca Carnival.

The Provincial Government of Cajamarca has allocated a budget of 250,000 soles to celebrate this feast, and it is expected an economic turnover of more than 1 million soles.
