Bolivia will charge a US$14.5 fee to tourists traveling by air
As of February 2017, the government of Bolivia will implement a tax fee of 100 Bolivianos (US $ 14.5), to tourists entering its territory by air.
Meanwhile, tourists arriving by land will be charged a fee of 30 Bolivianos (US $ 4), but due to operational reasons this will be postponed until 2019.
The purpose of this new regulation is to finance the implementation of plans, programs and tourism projects in national territory. Diplomats and staff members from foreign agencies; airline crews; and children under two years of age are exempt from this payment.
