DAY 1: CUSCO / SACRED VALLEY | INC: -.
Arrival in Cusco, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to the Sacred Valley where it will be easy to adjust to the altitude changes. On the way we will stop at Awanacancha, small complex to admire Andean camelids such as alpacas and llamas and learn from local inhabitants about traditional dyeing and knitting techniques. Later we will explore the Pisac Market with enough free time to go around and buy handcrafts and if you feel like tasting something traditional, stop by the wood ovens for a delicious empanada or a piece of bread. Stay at the Sacred Valley.
DAY 2: SACRED VALLEY / MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO | INC: B/L
We will go to Ollantaytambo train station, where we will depart by train to visit one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. We arrive at the Aguas Calientes station where our staff will assist us on boarding the bus to go up the winding road to Machu Picchu, amid a spectacular view of the Urubamba River and its canyon. The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will astonish us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps and urban areas. Energy is all around us. After a guided visit, we will have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco and will be transferred to the hotel.
DAY 3: CUSCO| INC: B.
Exclusive city tour that starts at San Cristobal Plaza to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. We will then visit Saint Peter Market, where we will be able to appreciate the local flavors and learn about the local produce in this market where you can find everything and is the main supply center of the city. We will then continue to the Koricancha Temple that will welcome us with its splendor. The Golden Precinct is the meaning of its name in Quechua and we can still feel the sumptuousness of its walls that were once lined in gold sheets. From Saint Blas, the craftsmen’s quarters we will walk down along the Hatun Rumiyoc street, finding midway the Inca Roca Palace, today the Archbishop’s Palace; and we will have time to appreciate the worldwide famous Stone of the Twelve Angles. We will go on to the Main Square to visit the Cathedral that houses invaluable colonial works of art.
DAY 4: FD 7-COLOR MOUNTAIN- Vinicunca Ausangate | INC: BB/L .
Very early in the morning, we will start our journey across Valle Sur toward Phulawasipata, which is the starting point of our hike to the Cerro Colorado or 7-color Mountain, located about 100 km. southeast of Cusco city. After enjoying our breakfast, we will start our hike to reach the control center and enter this mystical place. During our walk we will observe how colors around us change due to the weather. We will reach an altitude of 5000 meters, approximately, which is the top of this mysterious mountain. Geological formations will reveal all its splendor; the contrast of the blue sky creates a formidable line between the coast desert and the Amazon jungle, guided by the beautiful Ausangate. After a guided visit, we will have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. At the arranged time, we will return to Cusco.
DAY 5: CUSCO | INC: B
We will get away from the crowds to visit Sacsayhuaman, an impressive citadel full of colossal fortress surrounded by beautiful landscapes in complete communion with nature. We will then continue to the Inca shrine of Qenqo, with its awesome altar for sacrifices embedded in the side of the rock. We will finally reach the Puca Pucara watchtower and Tambomachay, a monument of noticeable architectural excellence, considered one of the pillars of the Andean view of the world.
DAY 6: FD HUMANTAY LAGOON| INC: L
Very early in the morning we will pick you up at your hotel and start our trip by bus to our first stop, the district of Mollepata called "the pantry of the world" for its splendid and varied agricultural production. After a short break, we will continue to Soraypampa starting point of our trek. Along the way we will see various ecological floors and beautiful landscapes. After an hour and a half of hiking, at 4,200 m.s. we will delight ourselves with the impressive Humantay Lagoon that has turquoise and crystalline colors that contrast remarkably with the majestic snow-capped mountains of the area: Humantay and Salkantay. After enjoying the spectacular beauty of the place, we will return to Soraypampa for lunch and at the indicated time, we will return along the same road to Cusco.
