5 OF PERU’S BEACHES ARE RANKED AMONG THE 50 BEST IN SOUTH AMERICA

The Canadian travel agency Flight Network published a list of the best beaches in South America. Among the 50 chosen, five Peruvian beaches made the cut, including: Punta Sal, Cabo Blanco, Huanchaco, Playa Roja, and Zorritos.
Five of Peru’s beaches have been deemed worthy of Canadian travel agency, Flight Network’s ranking of the 50 Best Beaches in South America list.
Among the 50 chosen South America beaches, the agency recognized the renown Punta Sal beach (5), located in Tumbes, recommending a sunset horseback ride along the beach. Cabo Blanco (21), in Piura, known for having once housed Ernest Hemingway and inspired his writings, was also included in the list.
International surfing mecca Huanchaco beach (25), located in La Libertad, was also recognized, as well as Playa Roja (39) – known and named for its red-hued sand, located within the Paracas National Reserve in Ica. Last, but not least, was the north coasts’ Zorritos beach in Tumbes (46).
The 50 South American beaches were chosen through votes collected from tourists, guides, tour operators, and industry leaders.
